Olly Alcock Rock/Blues Night
Saturday 30th May 7.30pm doors-open 7pm BAR PROVIDED.

Wetheral Open Gardens
Sunday 14th June 12-5pm
Tickets £3.50 per adult, children free. This is a new venture for Wetheral village as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
13 gardens and the Methodist Chapel Allotment will be open to public viewing.
Refreshments, toilets, some parking, maps and tickets available at the Community Village Hall.

COMMUNITY HALL UPDATE
New perimeter planting
Thanks to the careful planting expertise of the team of volunteers on 28th March, the Woodland Trust saplings are beginning to take root and flourish! Some wild flower seeding will take place when pernicious weeds have been killed off.
'New' gas cooker
Those of us who use the kitchen facilities will see that a second-hand (we could not afford new!) catering gas cooker has replaced the electric domestic cooker. This will enable hot meals for 120 to be prepared and cooked for large functions
Stage and Lighting
We have borrowed a stage from Upperby School whilst we apply for funding to buy our own.
initial investigations are taking place to put in lighting bars to the main hall.
The above items will require further funding and deliberations, but will mean that a wider range of uses for this space will be made available to our community.
We are becoming very popular!.....
...which is what we all want! This does put a lot of extra work onto the volunteers who provide these facilities for all to use.
We need some help meeting people and opening the hall -mainly at weekends.
