Friday 22nd September 7.30pm: Flamenco Flow. The Highlights production featuring world famous guitarist Ricardo Garcia and accompanied flamenco dancer was mesmerising! This was a memorable performance from both very professional artistes. Thank you to all those who supported this event.
IMPORTANT FUTURE VILLAGE COMMUNITY DATES!
Saturday 11th November 10am, outside the Village Stores: Village Litter Pick. Volunteers just turn up on the morning. All gloves, ‘grabber sticks’, Hi-Vis jackets and sacks provided. If you came last time you will know that in a short time a huge difference can be made to the appearance of our beautiful village. Do join in if you can make time for this community project.
Saturday November 25th 11am-3pm The Village Christmas Fair. Many interesting stalls and a visit from the Main Man! Tickets and information about the Village New Year (see below) will be in the foyer. Saturday 16th December 3pm, doors open 2.30pm: The Princess & The Goblin, Performed by The Northumberland Theatre Company, this is a Highlights professional production. Thursday 21st December 7pm: Carols Round the Christmas Tree. Join in with your friends and neighbours to celebrate Christmas with well known carols and all the usual stars including the Wyeknot donkeys! To be held on the Village Green...whatever the weather!
Friday 22nd December 5pm: The Village Children’s Christmas Party! All children and grandchildren of Wetheral Village, Wetheral Pastures and Aglionby under secondary school age are welcome to this fun start of a very exciting week! Sunday 31st December 8pm: Wetheral Community Village New Years Eve at the Village Hall. This is great opportunity to celebrate with friends and neighbours. Bar provided. Take your own food. We haven’t managed to find a live band for this event but are still trying to locate a ceilidh caller to lead our dancing to CD music. Tickets will be on sale as usual at the Christmas Fair and more details of the evening together with prices will be circulated soon.
